Fear Less

Smith makes a case for poetry as something rooted in capacities we already possess: to love, question, imagine, and connect with others. Drawing on poems and her own creative process, she explores how poetry can help us face uncertainty and loss, recognize ourselves in strangers, and pay closer attention to the lives we are living.
